July News

As the seasons change and we are entering the 2nd half of 2025, we’re excited to share a few highlights with you from our little corner of the world.

Rhenosterhoek Private Bush Camp

We’re proud to announce the recent upgrades of our private bush camp, Rhenosterhoek. Nestled in the buffer zone of the Magalies Biosphere, this peaceful hideaway comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests and features a cooking and eating braai and kuier area, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (includes an outside bath) – perfect for a quiet escape or an authentic hunting experience.

Rhenosterhoek is already fully booked for this year’s hunting season, but we welcome enquiries and early bookings for the next season. It’s never too early to start planning your next bush adventure!

We Are Famous!

Maddie, Riaan & the Kitchen staff, were recently featured in the Herald newspaper, where they shared a few of their favourite go-to recipes – including a hearty plate of spaghetti and their much-loved homemade frikkadelle.

It was such fun to step into the kitchen together and showcase the kind of comforting, down-to-earth food we enjoy making at home and at Ons Dorpshuis.

Cooking has always been a big part of life at Ons Dorpshuis – whether it’s for family, guests, or just each other – so being able to share that passion with the wider community was truly special. Keep an eye out…

You never know what Maddie and Riaan might be cooking up next!
