We’ve had an exciting and eventful June and July at Ons Dorpshuis! From celebrating outstanding achievements and preparing for exciting community events to recognising the incredible dedication of our staff, there’s been plenty happening around our home.
We are proud to share these special moments with you and thank everyone who continues to make Ons Dorpshuis such a wonderful community. Here’s a look at some of the highlights from the past two months.

At Ons Dorpshuis, we are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Kobus and Thabang and our pigeon racing team.
Competing in the Platina Specialist Racing Pigeon Union (PSWU), the team delivered an exceptional performance by winning:
The Union Race against clubs from Rustenburg, Brits and Mooinooi, Olifantshoek Open 1 – Northern Region Winner

Our kitchen team has had an exceptionally busy month, and they rose to the challenge with incredible teamwork, dedication and professionalism.
Over the past 30 days, they prepared an amazing 2,027 meals, ensuring every resident enjoyed fresh, delicious meals every day.

A huge thank you goes to our incredible kitchen team as well as all our assistants that pitched in over the past month. The past month brought extra pressure and an increased workload, yet you continued to deliver every meal with care, quality and a smile. Your commitment, teamwork and passion make a difference every single day, and we are truly grateful for everything you do.
We want to extend a very special thank you to all the extra staff members, our Temps and all other staff who are always willing to jump in and lend a hand.
