About Us
If you want the personal touch but a unique and artistic setting, this is for you.
Since 2000 we have worked hard to establish and grow Ons Dorpshuis Guest House from only a few Self Catering units to a combined mix of 92 different three and four star graded rooms. We are currently an established and well-known brand in Rustenburg and we are proud to be affiliated with the UNESCO Registered Biosphere.
We have succeeded to find the balance between giving our guests either a luxurious stay in our four star graded guest houses or a more practical budget stay in our three star graded self-catering apartments. All our facilities, rooms and houses have a definite “WOW” factor but simultaneously provide a place that makes each person feel right at home.
You will be greeted by a well-dressed, well trained and friendly face at reception and also be transported/accompanied in our newly branded vehicles.
We have been complimented on our creativity and unexpected practical approach to everything! We have recently revamped our courtyard to make it softer on the eye and universally accessible for everyone.
Self Catering Units
These properties are on average 3 km away from the Main Reception. One of our friendly
staff members will accompany you to the property and the specific unit, to ensure you know
about all the features of the property.
There is free uncapped Wi-Fi at all of these units.
Parking is behind high walls or palisades and all gates are motorized. Undercover, marked
parking bays are the norm.
All units are fully furnished and equipped. Kitchens are fitted with full size fridge-freezer,
stove, microwave oven and washing machine. Flat screen TVs with dstv decoders or in some
cases smart TVs with Watchlist Pro option.
We do have borehole, pumps and tank for when municipal water runs out and USB
batteries separately wired as Plan B for when it is loadshedding.

The complex consists of 13 self catering units. – this 3 storey building is adjacent to Ons Dorpshuis 3 and 4. Ideal for long-stay individuals and groups of up to 40 people.
Units 1-12 – SC-Fully furnished and equipped, standard one-bedroom apartments, with shower-Full Kitchen-Fan-Twin/King, with an extra bed in the lounge area in 8 of the apartments. All units are on first and second floor. No lift.
Unit 13 – SC-Fully furnished and equipped, standard, studio apartment with shower.
Full Kitchen-Twin/King beds with space for 2 more single beds when needed. Ground floor.

Unit 2 – Studio apartment. Space for double or queen bed, Bath and shower. Small kitchen
area with fittings for washing machine. Ground floor with few steps onto stoep.
Unit 3 – One bedroom unit with space for double, queen or king bed, en-suite bathroom
with shower only. Kitchen with gas stove and fittings for washing machine. Ground floor, no
steps. Faces communal pool and braai area.

SC-This double storey, three bedroomed house was built from plan and is on the same stand as Ons Dorpshuise 1 and 4. It is ideal for groups of colleagues, family or friends as a short term or overnight option.
Three standard bedrooms, upstairs, with twin beds in each room (total of 6 single beds), space for extra bed in main bedroom. Main bedroom has en-suite bathroom. (Bath and Shower).
The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower only. One separate guest toilet downstairs. Full kitchen, dining area, living area / lounge and a private garden with braai and undercover seating outside.

Unit 1 – It is ideal for small groups of colleagues, family or friends as a short term or overnight option. Two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower only. Separate toilet. Space in lounge for a single bed. One bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom has 2 single beds. Very small kitchen area with full fridge, microwave and 2 plate stove or induction plate. No washing machine.
Unit 2 – This studio apartment has twin beds in an open living space, bathroom with shower only, kitchenette with full fridge and washing machine.
Unit 3 – Also known as our Tiny House or THE POD. This unit is perfect for the single traveller on a tight budget for a short period of time. It has a kitchenette with bar fridge and single plate, electric stove. A built-in single bed with TV and decoder, built-in at the foot of the bed. Storage space on shelf above bed and one rail for hanging of clothes. Fold-out table inside and seating outside.
Unit 4 – This is a spacious, one bedroom apartment. It has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. It has twin beds (that can be made into a king). In the bedroom there is space
for an extra single bed as well as ample closet space. Full kitchen with scullery, dining room/lounge area as well as private garden area with braai.
Self Catering Units
These properties are between 200m and 900m away from the Main Reception at 15 Christie
de Wit Street. The houses are all in the beautiful leavy neighbourhood Cashan 1.
One of our friendly staff members will accompany you to the property and the specific unit, to ensure you know about all the features of the property.
There is free uncapped Wi-Fi at all units.
Parking is behind high walls or palisades and all gates are motorized. Undercover, marked parking bays are the norm. All units are fully furnished and equipped. Kitchens are fitted with full size fridge-freezer, stove, microwave oven and washing machine. Flat screen TVs with dstv decoders or in some cases smart TVs with Watchlist Pro option.
We do have borehole, pumps and tanks for when municipal water runs out. At three of the
four properties we have extensive solar panel/inverter/battery and heat pump systems.
Most of the kitchens have gas stoves and some units have gas geysers.
Although these are listed as self-catering, the units are close to the main guest house. Many
guests opt for enjoying their meals in the main dining room or have their food delivered to their units.

Houses 5, 6, 8 & 9 are on the Main Reception Property. Houses 5 & 7 are approximately 150m away from the Main Reception.
One of our friendly staff members will accompany the guest to each specific unit, to ensure that the guests have a smooth check in and hassle-free stay.

Ons Koshuis
Bedrooms are basic school hostel bedrooms with either 2 or 4 beds in a room. No bunkers. Rooms are furnished with beds, desk, desk chairs, rug, lamp, USB charging point, closet and 3 hangers per person. All linen, from the mattress protector, fitted and flat sheet, 2 pillows, duvet inner, and duvet cover are provided for. Guests only need to bring own toiletries and towels.
